Here is another miniature monster I encountered out on the wonderful place called the Internet. This one appears to be a greatly reduced Green Worm, a relative of the dreaded Purple Worm. According to the Forgotten Realms Encyclopedia, the Purple Worm is "an enormous worm-like creature with a hide covered in chitinous plates that were dark purple in hue," and "a mouth filled with teeth at one end and a poisonous stinger on the other." I know them as the thing you don't want to meet in a dark cavern. It is considered to be one of the most dangerous creatures to attempt to reduce in size, and even after reduction are still ornery and dangerous. The Green Worm is not quite as deadly as the Purple variety, but I have the utmost respect (and envy) for the wizard who managed to miniaturize this specimen.
