I have some critique partners that sometimes convince me that something I wrote could be better. Not often, though. I'm pretty stubborn.
I have never read something and thought, "I should write like that." I enjoy other writers works, but that is how they do it. I do it my way.

Not really unusual, but the town where they live is famous for the wool it produces, and there are a lot of sheep around. So, they eat a lot of sheep. The inn where every adventure starts and ends is renowned for its lamb stew.

I absolutely favor visual descriptions. I think that is because I tend to stick to well-trodden lingual paths. As I've grown as a writer, I've begun to put in the creative work necessary to bring descriptions of other senses to life, and the final product has benefited greatly.

Eating, getting dressed, and napping all server character building. However, since I write #fantasy, some daily tasks might seem less mundane: wizards studying their spell books every morning, daily weapon practice, and devotional rituals to patron deities for example.

I tend to do the no-no of having an epilogue at the end of my books. Since this is generally written much later than the rest of the book, and technically contains the last line, it usually doesn't get revised much in the editing process.
So, I generally know the last line as soon as I write it, but not before then.

No, but I would probably do better if I did so.
I certainly try to avoid things that are specifically "adult" — profanity, sex, excessive graphic violence — to make the work widely accessible. But I hope there is enough to appeal to all ages.
My audience is "anyone who likes fun and adventure."

I looked over months of my own responses and picked the best for this month's newsletter. Some of them were very inspired. Others not so much.
